The SBS Repair Squads
The SBS Group carries out several hundred Boiler repairs every year on a world-wide scale. To mention but a few repair jobs of differing type and size: complete retubing of a two-drum 45 T/h Mitsubishi and a 60 T/h Kawasaki boilers, retubing and new tube plates for both the oil-fired and exhaust-gas part of a 1.5 T/h Gardelius combined boiler, installation of a new 1 T/h Clayton steam generator, retubing of an AQ 16 composite boiler, and retubing of AQ9 oil-fired boiler.
Our repair squads with boilermakers from Denmark, USA, Poland, and Singapore are experienced in handeling and repairing all types of boilers — oil fired and exhaust gas boilers as well as steam and thermal oil systems.
Our quality repairs are well known both to the major classification societies and ship owners. Our list of references includes the largest ship-owning companies in the world.
In the SBS group we have extensive knowledge about carrying out on-voyage repairs. We supply by-pass systems and portable equipment (such as steam drums) for securing the least possible vessel downtime.
The SBS workshops around the world produce and supply boiler replacement parts for repair tasks. These parts include – just to mention a few – fin and pin tubes, pressurized tubes, spiral wound tubes, pre-bents tubes, steam drums, super heaters, etc.
